From 1 September, the National Library of Belarus invites everyone to free of charge classes on the Library’s facilities, its main services and that teach to use its catalogues and databases.


It is possible to know about the Library’s information resources that will be carried out weakly on Tuesdays as part of “First-time researcher’s school”.

The trainings will be conducted in room № 308 (3rd floor). Start – 6 p.m., duration – from 45 to 60 minutes.

1st Tuesday of a month
"Basics on information search: catalogues, reference editions, bibliographies": a training on the Library’s reference-information zones, additional funds of reading rooms, information search in catalogues.

2nd Tuesday of a month
"Electronic resources produced by the National Library of Belarus": a training on information search in the Library’s electronic catalogues, catalogues in its Internet-portal and its databases.

3rd Tuesday of a month
"Acquired databases: description and information search": a practical training on search in databases acquired by the Library.

4th Tuesday of a month
"Search of research information in Internet": a practical training.

It is possible to pass both a separate training and a full set of trainings.

On April 8-12 the VII International Scientific and Practical Seminar "Document Restoration: Conservatism and Innovation - 2024" was held at the Russian State Library. This is the largest professional forum, the main task of which is to exchange experience and improve the skills of restorers and curators of museum, library and archival collections from different countries.
