Within the framework of the XXV Minsk International Book Fair, a presentation on Interactive Technologies in Conserving the Book Heritage was held at the central stage of the National Stand of Belarus on March 1.
The study, conservation, return to the homeland and popularization of monuments of book culture has always been and remains the most important direction the National Library of Belarus’ activities. Authoritative experts of the National Library told how modern technologies help to cope with this mission today.
The participants of the event were greeted by Alexander Susha, Deputy Director for Research and Publishing Activities of the National Library of Belarus.
Galina Kireeva, head of the bibliology research department, defined the prospects for the creation of the State Register of Book Monuments of the Republic of Belarus, the formation and maintenance of which the National Library of Belarus is obligated.
Maria Shopina, chief librarian of the museum activity sector of the Bibliology Research Department, told about the use of interactive technologies in the exhibition projects of the Book Museum.
Than the interactive presentation of 10 interesting but unknown facts about libraries by the Belarusian Library Association took place. The leads playing with the visitors in True or False game, told about what they can do in libraries, if they do not read. There are indeed a lot of options! You can have some fun and intellectual relax, playing board games or visiting the cinema club, listening to music on vinyl, learning a foreign language, visiting the museum or Internet literacy classes and much more.
