On March 23rd at 5 p.m. in the Conference Hall of the National Library of Belarus is taken place the creative meeting with authors of the art project “Heritage of Belarus”.
The authors of the project – journalists of Belteleradiocompany (The National State Teleradiocomany of the Republic of Belarus) Alexander Alekseev and Oleg Lukashevich.
The meeting is organized within the framework of the public discussion of candidates for the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in the field of literature, art and architecture 2010.
The art project “Heritage of Belarus” intends to create presentation albums, documentary films and photo exhibitions on national heritage of the Belarusian people. The purpose of the project is to attract attention to Belarus and its historical and cultural possessions, to restore the lost origins and traditions and to reinforce the originality of the Belarusian nation. The authors of the project have made significant creative and scientific efforts, the result of which allows to discover a new image of Belarus and its history to the Belarusians and the whole world.
The project started in 2003. Since then, the very popular presentation albums have been edited –“Heritage of Belarus” (2004, in the Belarusian language), “Heritage of Belarus” (2006, in the Russian language), and “Heritage of Belarus. Treasures” (2007, in the Belarusian language), with total run of more than 30,000 copies; 17 episodes of the documentary television serial “The Epoch” on famous people born in Belarus have been made; 11 national and international photo exhibitions have been held in Belarus, Armenia, France, Great Britain, Poland and Italy.
The meeting with authors Alexander Alekseev and Oleg Lukashevich will be interesting to young people and everyone who is not indifferent to the history and culture of Belarus.
