On April 22, 2009, in the educational technologies hall of National Library of Belarus was held a seminar “Copyright and library activity: practical angles and legislative leadership”.
The seminar was organized by National Library of Belarus in cooperation with National Center of Intellectual Property.
At the seminar was discussed a new edition of the law “On copyright and adjacent rights”. A particular attention was paid to drawing-up of restrictions for library activity.
Members of the Chamber of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, UNESCO, Union of Writers of the Republic of Belarus, and directors of the biggest Belarusian libraries participated in the seminar.
