I heartily congratulate the National Library of Belarus on the 90th anniversary of its establishment.
Over the years the Library has passed a long and glorious way, made a significant contribution to the formation and development of the economic and social development of the independent Belarusian state. The opening of its new building was a very important event. The Library became one of the best national libraries in the whole world, a place where the social and political events of international level take place.
Today the Library is the repository of a unique collection of books and other documents from incunabula to the latest electronic media, the largest information, social and cultural country's center, the leading research and policy institute in the field of library science and bibliography.
Its success is, first of all, the achievement of the Library’s staff, who are outstanding professionals and real enthusiasts. I hope that you will continue to successfully and selflessly serve the Belarusian culture, increase the spiritual heritage of our nation.
