The annual international scientific conference “Science. Communication. From Resource Management to Knowledge Management" began on 5 October at the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (VNBU)
The conference was organized by the VNBU, the Information and Library Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Association of Libraries of Ukraine, the Board of Directors of Scientific Libraries and Information Centres of the Academies of Sciences – members of the International Association of Academies of Sciences.
On the first day of the conference, which will last until October 7, Ms Lucyja Tupchyienka-Kadyrava, Leading Bibliographer of the Information and Analytical Department of the National Library of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences, made an online report in Ukrainian “Projects of the National Library of Belarus on the Basis of the Newspaper Collections”. The report was presented at the "Library and information complex: management of a transformed science communication environment" section.
The speaker introduced the participants to virtual projects implemented by the National Library of Belarus, including “Witnesses of the era: Belarus on the pages of 100-year-old newspapers”; a project “100 days to the Great Victory. Through the pages of the 1945 Belarusian newspapers”; “ The National Library of Belarus in Modern Media”; “ On the Wave of Time, Throughout the Life”; talked about the forms of their popularization.

The National Library of Belarus expresses its gratitude to the organizers of the scientific forum, which brought together scientists from different cities and countries and provided an opportunity to share experiences and new ideas.
