On May 21–22 Tatyana Kuzminich, Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus, took part in the international exhibition "Chronicle of the World Capitals" and a scientific conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

The events were organized by the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The National Library of Belarus (NLB) presented two thematic blocks in Astana: "Centers of Belarusian Statehood" and "Sovereign Belarus". There were also presented the modern publications devoted to the Belarusian cities, as well as to Turov, Polotsk, Minsk and other cities, which were centers of Belarusian lands in different periods of history.

The stand of our library attracted the exhibition visitors’ attention. The Kazakh poet and scientist in literary, Murat Sultanbekov. He presented four author's editions to the National Library of Belarus.

Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National library

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
