More than 200 books of fiction, children’s literature, publications on history and medicine were donated to the libraries of the care home for elderly and disabled people and the Ponyamunski orphanage in Grodno on 28 September.
The event was part of the charitable campaign "The book is a source of wisdom, knowledge and science...", which is carried out by the National Library of Belarus throughout the year 2017 within the framework of the national celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book-printing.
Well-known domestic publishing houses: Belarus, Mastackaya Litaratura, Law and Economics, Popurri, Vladimir Grevtsov’s Agency, as well as bookselling companies Krasiko-print, Tregross-Info, MobilBook, MET, BookLineGroup, Eureka-M, Academic Book, Belkniga, Helton, Piter-М and private donators are participating in the book donation campaign.
