On May 20th the opening of the Belarusian-Kazakhstan business forum took place at the National Library of Belarus.
The purpose of the forum is to activate bilateral trade and economic cooperation through the choice of appropriate directions of its development, to establish business contacts and to search for partners in realization of joint investment projects.
Prime Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergey Sidorsky and Karim Masimov opened the plenary session. Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Nicolay Snopkov and First Vice Minister of Industry and Technological Innovations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Albert Rau delivered their reports. After the plenary session, the Prime Ministers of the two countries held a press conference for representatives of mass-media.
Within the framework of the event, work of three branch sections was organized and presentation of innovation projects was held. Participants of the forum visited an exhibition-tasting of Belarusian food industry and viewed expositions of other enterprises’ products.
The first day of the forum ended with an excursion of the National Library of Belarus during which the guests familiarized themselves with its activities, architectural features, equipment, information resources and interior design.
The program of the second day of the Belarusian-Kazakhstan business forum stipulates for visits to Belarusian industries and the free economic zone “Minsk”.
