The semifinal of the contest of young readers "Living Classic" was held on June 14 in the Library.

Since the very morning theatrical mood has reigned in the atrium of the second floor of the library: costumes, scenery, final run, excitement and overwhelming emotions...

Today, the participants of regional and Minsk contests of young readers "Living Classic" gathered here. The guys have passed the first, second and third stages of the competition, the victory for each of them is very close – they just have to show worthily their art of recitation in the semifinals.

The performances of the young readers were very different: from prose to poetry, from sad notes to laughter and enthusiasm. However, all participants showed themselves as real actors - convincing gestures and facial expressions, sensual reading of the text, often unexpected, not childish emotions.

A difficult choice was to be made by the members of the jury, among them were well-known writers, cultural and art workers, public figures, philologists and teachers. After a long and heated discussion, the jury identified the twelve best young readers.

Winners of today's competitive stage will compete in the final on the festive scene of the XXV Day of Belarusian Written Language. See you at the celebration of the Belarusian word in the city of Ivanovo, Brest region!

The event was organized by the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, ZAO "Stolichnoe TV", the Union of Writers of Belarus, the National Library of Belarus.
