National Library of Belarus and organizations-partners of the Virtual reading room offer the test access to the databases Oxford University Press and Grove Music Online on art and music.
The access is open to the partner organizations which have confirmed their interest in testing the resource.
Oxford Art Online contains the full text of Dictionary of Art in 34 volumes and more than 45 000 articles on fine art, sculpture, architecture, applied art, jeweller’s art and design, 21 000 biographies, more than 40 000 links to websites of museums and galleries, more than 5 000 copies of canvases, maps and drawings from the biggest picture-galleries of the world: Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Bridgeman Art Library, The British Museum, The Museum of Modern Art etc.
Grove Music Online provides access to the full texts of New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (the second edition, 2001), New Grove Dictionary of Opera (1992) and New Grove Dictionary of Jazz (the second edition, 2001), as well as more than 50 000 articles and biographies, more than 500 fragments of music accessible to listening.
The test access s open in the Virtual reading room of National Library of Belarus till December 23, 2009.
