On July 12, the National Library was visited by a delegation of the city of Chongqing, the People's Republic of China, led by the Governor of the People's Government of Chongqing, Tang Liangzhi.
During a tour the guests of honor became acquainted with the history of the library, its information resources and the potential of the biggest country’s socio-cultural center.
The delegation members visited the Round Hall, the exhibition “The Peoples of the World and Their Primers” at the Book Museum, and enjoyed the bird’s-eye panorama of Minsk on the observation tower.
At the end of the meeting Mr. Tang Liangzhi, on behalf of the Chinese delegation, expressed gratitude for the excursion and presented a memorable gift to the National Library of Belarus.
