A training workshop “The resources of the virtual reading room of the National Library of Belarus for information support of scientific community” was held in the Belarusian State Technological University on April 6th.
The workshop was prepared by the National Library of Belarus in cooperation with the company EBSCO Information Services, which is one of the world’s leading aggregators of scientific electronic information resources.
Specialists of the Corporate interaction department of the National Library of Belarus Marina Rudakovskaya and Ruslan Dolgy introduced the attendees to the contents and functionality of databases available to subscribers of the virtual reading room in 2017.
Andrei Sokolov, the EBSCO regional development director in Russia, Belarus and Moldova, presented an overview of the database package EBSCO Premier, the functionality of the platform EBSCOhost, as well as the algorithms and features of information search in the databases.
