On August 14, 2009, a grand opening of photo exhibition “A Step Towards” took place in National Library of Belarus.
The photo exhibition was dedicated to the day of homeless animals and was organized by National Library of Belarus and Social Association of Animal Liberation "Egida".
This project united professional photographers and just not indifferent people to animals to show the existence of homeless creatures which are so often ignorable, to accept need to respect their right to live and remind that they need our help.
In the opening took part the president of Social Association of Animal Liberation “Egida” N.A. Belyanova, acting head of gallery work department of National Library of Belarus L.V. Mihnevich.
The project was also supported by Nikolay Mirniy, Lyusya Luschik, Belarussian popstars such as duet Alexandra and Konstantin, Elena Grishanova and others.
