Seminars about algorithms for working with scientific information resources on the ProQuest electronic platform were presented at the Library on May 19 and 20.
The platform allows users not only to get online access to information about the latest achievements in science, but also to present the published results of their own research to the scientific community.
The participants learned about with the full-text digital collections of dissertations "ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global" and scientific books "ProQuest Ebook". Ms Anna Trifonova, Head of the ProQuest Company Regional Projects and Mr Aleksander Lipensky, Director of the Electronic Resources Department of the METEK subscription agency. Particular attention was paid to organizing the use of resources remotely.
The series of online events will end on May 26. The block of scientific information resources on medicine and health protection presented on the ProQuest platform will be considered in detail at the final seminar. Researchers and medical staff are welcome to participate. Registration is required for participation.
Access to electronic resources of ProQuest is open to registered users of the Library.
The Virtual Reading Room of the National Library of Belarus is open for cooperation with various organizations in our country on subscription to licensed databases, training in working with them, as well as the presentation of electronic information resources on the National Library platform in the "Virtual Reading Room" section.
