On January 9, 2008, in National Library of Belarus took place a seminar “National Library of Belarus: the main informational centre of Belarus”. In the seminar participated directors of soldier’s clubs, officers, and workers of military libraries.
During the seminar participants were acquainted with information resources of the Library and remote user service. The moderators of the seminar are: Lyudmila Kiryukhina, the Deputy Director for library science and public relations, and P.N. Tikhonchyuk, the chief expert of the Ministry of Defense Central administrative body for ideology.

The Director acquainted participants with National Library of Belarus which is an informational, social, and cultural centre of Belarus. Lilia Fisienko, the head of library and information technologies department presented to participants information resources produced by the NLB; Elena Tulupova, the head of reference and bibliographic section acquainted participants with external databases accessible in the Library. Besides that, Tatiana Eroho, the head of reference and information department , and Lyudmila Kurilina, the head of interlibrary loan and delivery of materials department acquainted participants with the Library services “Ask a Librarian” and electronic delivery of materials.
A.K. Pashkevich, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Ministry of the Defense web site acquainted participants with the Ministry of Defense internet resource. A.E. Aladko, the head of the 4th section of the Ministry of Defense Central administrative body for ideology thanked the NLB experts for their assistance.
