In the reading rooms of the Library readers have a free of charge opportunity to search and download on their devices full texts of English-language books from the database eBook Collection (EBSCOhost).
The database eBook Collection (EBSCOhost) has more than 3.5 million items. It is permissible to download books on the following subjects:
- art and architecture;
- biographies and memoirs;
- fiction;
- political sciences;
- social sciences.
Access to full-text electronic books that are downloaded on portable devices is available for up to 7 days.
It is possible to download e-books on your portable device (laptop, iPad, iPhone, iPod) from the database eBook Collection (EBSCOhost) in the Documents of International Organizations Reading Room, the Music and Audio Materials Reading Room and the Fine Arts Reading Room.
Attention! The user’s portable device must be with Internet access and the following sofware:
1. On a personal computer (laptop)
- Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 (or the latter version) with Service Pack 1;
- Adobe Digital Editions (a program for reading of electronic books).
2. On the iPad, iPhone, iPod:
- Bluefire Reader version 1.2 (or the latter version);
- iTunes;
- Adobe Digital Editions.
(If there are no these programs on a personal device, they are downloaded by the user from the Internet on their own).
