We invite you to visit the unique exhibition project "Glitter of Outfits and the Secrets of Flirting", which is only a few weeks from closing!

The exhibition features over 300 unique, rare and exquisite items of the 17th–19th centuries. from the private collection of Mr Ihar Surmacheuski. The exhibits can rival the best museums in the world!

Clothes, shoes, hats, accessories, invitations to balls and dinner parties, ladies' boudoir table, miraculously saved in Hrodna, a boudoir mirror framed by swans, made by French masters from Nice; and all those little things, without which a lady can not do even now: perfume bottles, sets for needlework, jewelry, bracelets, brooches, combs and hairpins... Some are handmade and presented as one-of-a-kind pieces!

A collection of plié and brisé hand fans, as well as Chinese fans made of silk, lace, paper, bone, wood, decorated with paintings and inlays, porcelain and perfume bottles from Meissen and Sèvres manufactures.

Nothing will leave you indifferent! Hurry up and experience the atmosphere of past centuries and feel the zeitgeist of the ball.

The exhibition runs until January 16, 2022.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.


  • adults – 10 rubles,
  • students of secondary, specialized secondary and higher educational institutions  – 5 rubles,

family ticket:

  • a group of two adults and one child under 16 – 21 rubles,
  • a group of two adults and two children under 16  – 24 rubles,
  • multiple children family (upon presentation of a supporting document) – 24 rubles.

Free admission to the exhibition with the right to take photos and videos is allowed for children under 8 years of age, inmates of children's homes, people with disabilities (upon presentation of a supporting document), as well as the accompanying persons for groups of schoolchildren, pupils of educational institutions (1 accompanying person per 10 children).

From January 17, a literary and visual exhibition is on show in the circular corridor of the 2nd floor. The exhibition is dedicated to the winners of the prize For Spiritual Revival, a special prize of the president of the Republic of Belarus to people of culture and art, as well as a special prize of the president of the Republic of Belarus Belarusian Sports Olympus for 2021.
