In Belarus, by Presidential Decree of November 29, 2012 № 537 the year 2013 was declared the Year of Thrift.
On November 29, 2012 President of the Republic of Belarus A. Lukashenko signed Decree № 537 "On declaring the year 2013 the Year of Thrift".
By Resolution of December 29, 2012 № 1253 the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus approved the Republican Plan of Events for 2013 as the Year of Thrift.
The Year of Thrift is a logical continuation of realization in the current conditions of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus of June 14, 2007 № 3 "Economy and thrift – the main factors of economic security in the state".
