On April 27-28, the National library of Belarus hosted the 19th International Bibliology Readings. More than 60 scientists from Belarus and Russia spoke at the plenary and working sessions over two days.

The meetings featured presentations from researchers from the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Presidential Library of the Republic of Belarus, the Minsk Theological Academy, representatives of the Belarusian State Technological University, the Belarusian State Medical University, as well as staff from libraries, museums, and archives from various regions of Belarus.

A combination of formats were used for the conference, including an online broadcast and arrangements for participants to connect remotely. Researchers from several Russian Federation cultural institutions, including the Kaluga Regional Scientific Library named after V. G. Belinsky, the Kaliningrad Regional Scientific Library, the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, the National Library of the Republic of Karelia, and the National Library of the Udmurt Republic, presented the findings of their studies in a remote format.

The programme will be archived on the National Library of Belarus's YouTube channel. The prosedeeings of the conference are published in the collection: "Proceddings of the 19th International Bibliology Readings".

The conference provided an opportunity to debate a wide range of topics, including the evolution of book culture from ancient manuscripts to the use of modern information technologies, as well as the current situation and possibilities for the development of a comprehensive book science.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
