In 2012, the National Library of Belarus carries on the series of anniversary book exhibitions “Writers’ anniversaries” dedicated to lives and careers of the outstanding masters of writing.
In the first half-year, we offer to our readers and visitors the expositions as follow:
- "The Labyrinth of the Universe": the 80th birthday of Italian writer and philosopher Umberto Eco (1932);
- "The magnificant comedian" : the 390th anniversary of French dramatist Jean Baptiste Moliere (1622–1673);
- "The writer’s game": the 280th anniversary of French dramatist Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais (1732–1799);
- "Inimitable Dickens": the 200th anniversary of English writer Charles Dickens (1812–1870);
- "The struggle is my poetry...": the 200th anniversary of Russian writer, publicist and novelist Alexander Ivanovich Gertsen (1812–1870);
- "The artist of many talents”: the 300th anniversary of French writer and philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau (1441–1501).
The exhibitions are located on the 3rd floor in the circular hall.
