On the threshold of Christmas and the New Year, the National Library of Belarus has prepared a holiday exhibition «We are celebrating Kolyada (Christmas)”. The exhibition is located in atrium on the second floor.
A vivid and colorful exposition includes about 100 materials dedicated to history of holidays, Slavonic traditional creeds and legends, as well as useful hints on decorative design, making of Christmas-tree decorations, origami, table laying, traditional festive cookery, collections of congratulations, wishes and toasts, poetries, fairytales, Christmas tales, family horoscopes, and calendars.
At the exhibition are displayed as well collected scenarios for children’s Christmas holiday.
