A thematic exhibition "Vector towards Health: Respond to the Challenges of the Time" is held in the Periodicals Reading Room (106) from January 6 to February 26.

Times change not only the customs but also people's diseases. Injuries were once the main causes of diseases; centuries later, infections and epidemics replaced them. Over time, thanks to science, people have come to cope with infections, but civilization, gaining momentum, changes our lives and health again. Diseases arising from scientific and technological revolutions and environmental deformations, the so-called diseases of civilization, are seen as a global medical and social problem. In this regard, today it is so important to take a responsible approach to our own health and the formation of healthy habits.

Publications from the journals "World of Medicine," "Apothecary," "Zdravushka" and others will tell about the ways to prevent various diseases, as well as a healthy lifestyle.

In early 2020, the world was gripped by a pandemic of coronavirus infection, the scale of which has become a major challenge to society and national health systems. Today, countries continue to implement a strategy to contain the spread of the virus while stepping up efforts to combat the disease. Articles from "Medical News", "Healthy Lifestyle", "Belarus", "Health" magazines and other periodicals summarize the experience of the decisions taken in connection with this situation.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
Entry is by the library card or by Social and Cultural Center ticket.
