The anniversary exhibition "The White Swallow of Belarus", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Belarusian poet and translator, Honored Artist of Belarus Nina Matsyash (1943-2008), takes place from September 20 to October 30 in the Hall of Belarusian Literature (room 205).

Nina Matsyash's creativity is an invaluable treasure of national culture, spiritual and moral values. For posterity, Nina Iosifayna is the embodiment of the power of the human spirit. In her works, she repeatedly refers to the moments of painful reflection of a person on the issues of his life, destiny, the fullness of the content of his existence.

Bright sadness for her own fate, unfading optimism, complete absence of complaints about life and – love... Love for everything and for everyone exists in each of her poetry collections presented in the section of the exhibition "In the land of clear rays". Also in the section there are books for children, plays, essays and poems also filled with the light of love.

Nina Matsyash could not imagine the development of the national literary process without translation activities. Having mastered several foreign languages perfectly, the poetess, along with poetic skill, honed the skill of a translator. The creative approach to the texts allowed the translator not only to preserve the content, the spirit of the work, but also to sometimes deepen the author's thought. Her artistic translations from French, German, Polish, Ukrainian of books by J. Olivier, A. de Saint-Exupery, L. Kostenko, V. Barny, V. Shimborskaya and others are presented in the section of the exhibition "Talented, generous, courageous".

Books, articles and encyclopedic materials dedicated to the life and literary heritage of the poet are exhibited separately.

The books presented in the exhibition can be ordered through the electronic catalogue of the National Library of Belarus.
