From January 4th, 2010, to February 28th, 2009, in the National Library of Belarus (the 3rd floor, circular passage) is open a book exhibition “The Book for All Times”.
Books of different times and peoples went through ages and with time took on special significance, obtained love and the recognition of many generations of grateful readers.
National library of Belarus invites to visit a subject exhibition. It represents books which became treasures of world literature, the most significant works different in forms and genres: tragedies, comedies, ballads of historical and adventure novel, lyrical poem.
Every book section – is a selection of restricted number of literature according to a certain criteria. It resembles a white list of literature. A reader can choose the most necessary, interesting and talented works from a great deal of books. This exhibition including about 300 editions is a real help in this choice.
Besides the exposition contains modern dictionaries in literature, encyclopedias of literature characters, biographical dictionaries, big literature encyclopedias. Such editions as «100 персонажей мировой литературы», «100 величайших книг, которые потрясли мир», «100 запрещенных книг», «Книги, которые должен знать современный человек» will be a good guide to reading. The book is also represented as an instrument of bibliotherapy.
