The exhibition "Sport, Beauty and Health" is held from May 2 to June 29 in the Periodicals reading room (room 106).
Sport has always been and still is the force that unites not only individuals, but whole countries and continents too. The bright example to this are the Olympic Games, world championships, continental competitions. Peacemaking, spirit of honest struggle, pursuit of a healthy lifestyle – these components of modern sports unite all the best that humanity has achieved during its existence.
Sports journalism plays an important role in the popularization and development of physical culture in general and modern sports in particular. At the exhibition the sports periodicals are represented by specialized publications: magazines “Mir Sporta” (World of Sport), “Fizichnaya Kultura i zdarouje” (Physical culture and health), “Sport na vode” (Sport on water), "Sporttime", “Nash Sport” (Our sport). The most recent sport news visitors could learn in the newspapers “Sportivnaya panorama” (Sports Panorama), "Pressball", “Sovetskiy sport” (Soviet Sport).
A range of articles published in the magazines “Zdorovje i uspeh” (Health and success), "Zdravushka", “Fizkultura i sport” (Physical culture and sport), "Zdarovy lad zhytstsya" (Healthy Lifestyle), “Domashnya Entsiklopedia zdorovja” (Home encyclopedia of health) will help you to stay in perfect physical shape for a long time.
