The exhibition "Secrets of "Vyasyolka"" dedicated to the 40th anniversary on the post of editor-in-chief of the magazine "Vyasyolka", writer Vladimir Lipsky, is held from January 10 to February 10 on the exhibition space of the 3rd floor.

The issue of "Vyasyolka" with the name of Vladimir Lipsky as the chief editor of the magazine has been published 40 years ago, in January 1979. For 40 years Vladimir Lipsky has invariably been on watch and being passed a creative exam to thousands of exigent children.

After the patriarchs of Belarusian literature Vasil Vitka, Evdokia Los’ and Anatoly Grechanikov, Vladimir Lipsky has not only kept the magazine in difficult times, but also created a fruitful creative team of the current edition, having raised "Vyasyolka" magazine to the level of the best children's magazines in Europe.

The secret is very simple: to follow the directions that have emerged during the establishment of the magazine. Therefore, according to Vladimir Lipsky, the main creative tasks of the editor-in-chief of Vyasyolka are to "teach children to love their homeland; instill them a love for their native language, heritage, history and culture; contribute to the children of Belarus were able to appreciate people, patiently instructing them on the path of life".

There are a lot of the new columns that have appeared in "Vyasyolka" due to Vladimir Lipsky. Visitors of the exhibition could get acquainted with them.

Also the book series "The Library of "Vyasyolka" magazine", which has been founded in 2013, is presented at the exhibition. Readers will see the anthology for preschoolers "Busya", which has been also created by the editors of the magazine in the 2013.

In the center of the exhibition there are issues of the main Belarusian children's magazine "Vyaselka" from 1979 to 2018.

Visitors will see about 40 documents illustrating the path of Vladimir Lipsky as the editor-in-chief.


The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the People's writer of Belarus, publicist and screenwriter Vasil Vladimirovich Bykov.
On this occasion, the National Library has prepared an anniversary exhibition "Soldier's fate", which highlights the great influence on the work of the Belarusian writer of his participation in the Great Patriotic War.
