From November 1 to December 30 in the Periodicals reading room (room 106) the thematic exhibition “Renewable Energy Sources as a Worthy Alternative” takes place.

There are several global problems in the modern world, and the depletion of natural resources is one of them. Humanity thinks more and more about alternative sources of energy. The number of cities in the world, mostly providing themselves with "green energy", more than doubled over the past couple of years, and this is the impetus for many other cities to move from fossil fuels to renewable sources.

According to research, Belarus also has the necessary technical potential and economic conditions for the transformation of the energy sector and the increase in the share of "green energy". It is expected that our country will be able to reach up to 81% of the volume of "green energy" in the final energy supply by 2050. The implementation of the energy transition will accelerate the GDP growth and improve environmental performance.

The exhibition presents about 40 periodicals about the use of renewable energy in Belarus and the work of the 23d Belarusian Energy and Environmental Forum.

The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
