On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus (July 3), a thematic exhibition “Prosper, My Country” has been organized by the Library.
There are about 100 documents on display. Among them are publications about the formation of the Belarusian statehood, the current state of the country's development, achievements in socio-economic, scientific and cultural spheres, foreign policy and foreign economic relations. The exhibition shows the best traditions of the Belarusian people and the unique natural wealth of the country.
Belarus celebrates the 75th anniversary of liberation from the Nazi invaders in 2020, therefore, a separate section of the exhibition dedicated to this milestone event presents books about heroism, courage and firmness of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War, their selfless devotion to their homeland.
“Belarus, the State” section includes publications on the history of the land, socio-political and social literature on the current tendencies and ways of further development.
The “Modern Portrait of Culture and Art of Belarus” part of the exhibition demonstrates books on cultural and historical heritage, monuments of religious architecture, as well as encyclopedic reference books, photo albums, booklets revealing a rich cultural life and appeal of Belarus.
The exhibition is targeted at a wide audience and will be in demand among those who are interested in the development and the current state of Belarus.
The exhibition is located on the second floor of the circular corridor and will last until August 26, 2020.
The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
Admission is by a library card or by the Social and Cultural Center ticket.
