The exhibition of books and illustrations "Loving, Nice, Kind", dedicated to Mother’s Day (14 October), has been organized in the Library (3rd floor, circular corridor) from October 12 to November 10.

Destiny of every person is inconceivable without mother’s name – the symbol of tenderness and warmth. Mother’s love brings forth in us kindness and will to improve life.

Mother’s Day is celebrated in different countries on various days.

In Belarus it coincides with the Orthodox holiday Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary and is celebrated on October 14.

Mother’s Day helps us understand the significance of the woman’s purpose of giving birth and upbringing of children, the great role of preserving and strengthening of spiritual values, moral ideals. Mother’s support and positive life guides of children are the basis that strengthens the prestige of the family, the spiritual renewal of the society.

The exhibition presents over 200 modern publications concerning the most important topics: parenting, healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, preservation of family traditions, and creation of comfort at home.

A separate section of the exhibition "Successful Woman-Mother" is devoted to those mothers who managed to achieve success and career growth, and to successfully combine parenting and work.

The exposition offers a rich illustrative material and is interesting for a wide range of readers, especially for young mothers, who will get a lot of useful tips and recommendations.

21 Sep 2020

A virtual project "On the Wave of Time, Throughout the Life", timed to the 100th anniversary of the literary association "Maladnyak" (1923-1928), includes a lot of interesting and informative things. These are photographs of the writers, their family and friends, manuscripts and letters, photos of personal belongings of the members of "Maladnyak", full texts of their pieces. Important material that makes the project "alive" and relevant are the articles of modern researchers. With the permission of the authors, we place digitized copies of publications that are available to readers in full.
