From 23 January to 14 February, a thematic book exhibition timed to the Day of Belarusian Science (26 January) runs in the National Library of Belarus (3rd floor, circular corridor).
Science is designed to solve complex theoretical and applied problems in different areas and spheres of society life being an integral part of the national industrial potential and a source of an innovation economy of the republic. New development and actual projects are the main strategic resources of our motherland.
The book exhibition “Intellect of the nation for the future” presents about 150 documents published in the last five years: reference and encyclopedic editions, monographs, collections of scientific papers, international and republican conference papers, booklets about the development and the current state of Belarusian science, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and research-and-production enterprises, scientific developments and achievements, and also the basic trends of national scientific research in the sphere of natural and technical sciences and the humanities.
The exposition includes three thematic sections:
- Belarusian science: history and present day.
- Research institutions and enterprises of Belarus.
- Scientific developments and achievements.
The section “Belarusian science: history and present day” presents books about the development of sciences in Belarus and activities of known Belarusian scientists.
The section “Research institutions and enterprises of Belarus” includes literature about the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, leading Belarusian institutions and research-and-production enterprises and their research work.
Books presented at the section “Scientific developments and achievements” are about the achievements of Belarusian science in different fields of society life.
The exposition is designed for all readers and visitors of the Library.
