“I’ll Find Belarus in the Sky…”, an exhibition timed to the 60th anniversary of the Belarusian poet and publicist, Leonid Pronchak, runs in the Belarusian literature hall (205), from November 9 to December 9.

Leonid Pronchak is a lyrical poet. For whoever he writes, for a child or an adult, his works are filled with a sincere love of his native land and people. The author creates a universe of beauty and harmony, to which everyone should strive. Leonid Pronchak’s poetry is his spiritual essence and the basis of his attitude to life and the world.

The first exhibition section introduces visitors to Leonid Pronchak’s collections of poems of different years, as well as collective collections in which the poet’s works are published.

In the book “The Belarusian America” Pronchak, through interviews with public figures, writers, musicians, businessmen, workers and others, spoke about Belarus and Belarusians who, due to various life circumstances, are far beyond the homeland.

More than 200 verses of Leonid Pronchak were set to music, and many songs became hits.

Known Belarusian composers wrote music for his poems. The song “Krasuy Belarus!”, music by Rainchik, is an anthem of the creative intelligentsia that plays in the finale of various holidays and festivals. Songs and poems by Leonid Pronchak are translated into Russian and English and published in Russia, Poland, the USA and other countries.

The exhibition includes materials about the writer’s life and work.

About 70 publications are on display.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
Admission is by library card or by ticket of the library's social and cultural center. Information and tickets may be obtained at the registration desk.
