“How to Say it in…”, a book exhibition timed to the World Hello Day, is held in the Interlibrary Loan Department, reading room 164, from November 1 to December 4.

Knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom.

Foreign language teaching, as you can see, is becoming more and more popular. Some people learn languages because they need them to work, others to travel abroad freely, for some it's just a hobby. Knowledge of a foreign language allows you to learn better your native language and broaden your horizons, read original literature and make acquaintances with people from different countries.

The exhibition presents fiction in different languages, as well as textbooks, self-instruction books and phrasebooks for learning languages.

All publications presented at the exhibition are available in the e-Catalog of the National Library of Belarus.

Admission is by library card or by ticket of the library's social and cultural center. Information and tickets may be obtained at the registration desk.

Professional Travel to Libraries of Netherlands

The specialists of the National Library of Belarus, Svetlana Pugacheva, Natalia Zelenevskaya and Nelly Kovalevskaya, and the representatives of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Yuri Getsevich and  Svetlana Getsevich, visited the leading libraries of the Netherlands. The professional travel (November 3–9) was supported by Mobility Scheme for Targeted People-to-People-Contacts (MOST).
