From October 4 to November 30, the exhibition “Eternal Wanderer”, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the artist, writer and philosopher Yazep Drozdovich, takes place at the exhibition area on the 3rd floor.
The beginning of the twentieth century gave rise to a bright galaxy of the Belarusian intelligentsia, one of which's representers os Yazep Drozdovich, artist, sculptor, writer, poet, ethnographer, archeologist, amateur astronomer, philosopher.
A great patriot of the Native land, he chose the path of a wanderer and an outsider, making endless wanderings wandering through his native land - from the farm to the farm, from village to village, interrupting occasional earnings. But he perceived this path not dramatically, but as a service to the people, a return to his debts. Already during his lifetime, Yazep Drozdovich was called the first national artist and creator of the “Belarusian style”.
The exhibition “Eternal wanderer” represents about 30 documents from the library’s collections devoted to the study of the creative legacy of Yazep Drozdovich, lifetime editions of his works, as well as books and magazines illustratorated by the artist.
The exhibition will be interesting to researchers and lovers of artistic and Belarusian literary legacy.
The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
