From 3 January to 28 February in the periodicals reading room (room 106) runs the subject exhibition "Comprehending the secrets of science”.
The exposition is timed to the Day of Belarusian Science which is observed in the Republic of Belarus on 29 January.
The role and significance of science in solving of problems that face society is constantly growing. The science, which investigates, searches for answers to the most urgent questions, invents new technologies and promptly approaches with the practice, is the basic motive force of progress.
The exposition presents more than 30 periodical articles by different authors about scientific achievements in various fields of knowledge.
Power engineering, along with a number of other branches of national economy of Belarus, has always been tightly integrated with science. Today any problem of power safety of the Republic can’t be solved without scientific analysis and forecast. A number of publications, including the article by G.M. Dmitriyeva “The role of science in the power safety of Belarus” published in the journal “Power Strategy” (2011, 1), is devoted to these questions.
Numerous materials from specialized journals “Medicine”, “The Medicine World”, “Medical Journal” acquaint readers with new achievements of biology and medicine.
Journals “Inventor", “Science and Innovations”, “Science and Military Safety”, “Chemistry and Life”, “Belarus” etc. are on display at the exhibition.
