We are preparing to the Biblio-night-2018: we are compiling a program and arranging areas for our guests.

We propose you to come in the Interlibrary and Individual Loan room (room 164) to see the book exhibition "Closed game" in an open format, which is revealing the intellectual world of checkers, chess and other interesting and fascinating games.

At the exhibition you will learn about the origin of "chess" word, who invented the folding chessboard ,when the oldest of the remaining sets of chess was found, what served as a model for the magical chess pieces in the film "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and many other things.

The exhibition will be open from 11 to 27 April.

Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National library

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).
