From 11 September to 7 October, the exhibition “Bright colors of autumn” runs in the Visual materials reading room (room 307).
All of us have got used to Autumn regarding it as something ordinary. It comes every year after Summer and insensibly disappears dissolving in Winter. In the bustle of life we don’t pay it attention anymore: autumn is autumn. But in fact she is ALIVE! She is so manifold! With sleets, falls of golden leaves, a bright sun, a penetrating wind and a noisy rain. She’s sometimes warm and soft, sometimes exacting and severe, and sometimes cheerful and impetuous.
Bright colors of autumn have always been the source of inspiration for painters. The offered exhibition will allow seeing autumn in a different light. The exposition presents reproductions of works by known artists of the Russian classical school V. Polenov, I. Levitan, F. Vasiliev and our contemporaries V. Isakov, V. Tkachuk, A. Kovalev, M. Abakumov, I. Romadin, I. Barkhotkov, E. Barkhotkova.
About 130 documents are on display: postcards, calendars, photo albums and books with works of authors who praise the beauty of this magnificent season.
