From August 8, 2009 to August 20, 2009, in the Belarusian Literature Reading Room (room 205) is open a book exhibition “Architecture as the life work” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Belarusian architect, scientist, researcher of architecture, pedagogue Vyacheslav Chernatov.
The architect’s original talent manifests in the modern architecture of Belarus. He’s the author of design for numerous residential, public and industrial buildings in Belarusian cities and towns. As a scientist and architect, Vyacheslav Chernatov studies Belarusian national architecture of the ХХ century and works for regeneration, restoration and preservation of national cultural and historical heritage.
Vyacheslav Chernatov has been a docent at Belarusian National Technological University for about twenty years. He is a laureate of prizes of the International Association of Unions of Architects, Union of Architects of the USSR, and Union of Architects o fthe Republic of Belarus.
At the exposition are displayed books, monographs and articles by Vyacheslav Chernatov published in encyclopedias, reference books, scientific series and journals; design works by the author; drawings performed by Vyacheslav Chernatov during his journeys in Belarus and abroad.
