On June 25, 2009, the opening of a documentary-artistic program “Unsubdued Belarus” timed to the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi occupants was held in National Library of Belarus.
Several new publications were presented at the event: DVD “Underground and partisan press in Belarus” developed by experts of National Library of Belarus, National Archive of Belarus and Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War under the aegis of the UNESCO, as well as new editions published by P. Brovka Belarusian Encyclopedia Publishing House (Y. Fomin The Person from the Legend” and a book of collected works “Remember the Perished Heroes”).
In the framework of the actual program, a documentary-book exhibition “Unsubdued Belarus” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi occupants has been arranged in National Library of Belarus. There are displayed books, documents and artifacts as well as works by artist Anatoly Nalivaev “Minsk Landscapes. 1945-1960” . In the Museum of a Book is open an exhibition of partisan and underground press of 1942–1944 arranged by National Archive of Belarus.
