On 6 March, at the gallery “Panorama” took place the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition of Victor Danilov “The treasures of Nesvizh”.


The exhibition is held within the framework of the republican action “Nesvizh – the cultural capital of Belarus 2012”.

At the event spoke: First Deputy Director for User Service and Ideology of the National Library of Belarus Elena Dolgopolova, Head of the Gallery and exhibition division of the National Library of Belarus Fyodor Yastreb, painter Vasily Kostyuchenko, Candidate of Art Studies, professor of the chair of people’ arts and crafts at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts Vladimir Rynkevich, painter and senior professor of the chair of esthetical education at the M. Tank Belarusian Pedagogical University, photographer Victor Danilov.

The exposition includes about 60 works by Victor Danilov dedicated to the Nesvizh park and palace, the church of Corpus Christi, and also the monuments to historical and religious figures and modern events and festivals in Nesvizh.

The exhibition runs till 27 March in the gallery “Panorama”.

The exhibition entrance fee is equal to that of the Observation Platform.

Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National library

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).
