On February 25, 2009, in National Library of Belarus was opened an art exhibition “The Flower Paradise III” dedicated to the International Women’s Day.



Three years running visitors enjoy the project “Flower Paradise” which presents a variety of paintings, graphics, photos, and arts and crafts. Flowers are the main character of works displayed at the exposition.

A dance group “Duet” and pupils of Minsk State Palace of Children and Youth children’s fashion studio performed at the opening of the exhibition.
F.A. Yastreb, head of the NLB’s exhibition department and S.I. Sheremetev, head of the NLB’s social and cultural center participated in the ceremony of opening. Graphic artist, painter, designer, artist-animator D.M.Surinovich, candidate of study of art, docent of Belarusian State Academy of Arts E.F. Shuneiko, and artist V.P. Tikhonov spoke at the event.

The exhibition is open till April 16, 2009.

Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National library

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
