The Aqua-Concept Exhibition of Watercolors has opened in the National Library on 14 March.

The organizers are the National Library of Belarus, the AQUAVIR art studio, the Belarusian Union of Artists, and Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.

The grand opening was attended by first deputy director of the National Library of Belarus Elena Dolgopolova, deputy chairman of the Belarusian Union of Artists Leonid Khobotov, watercolorist, art historian and head of the AQUAVIR art studio Vladimir Rynkevich, art historian, art critic, curator and gallery owner Nikolay Pogranovsky, and PhD in Art History Galina Flikop-Svita.

The exposition presents works of both masters and amateurs, regardless of their rank and membership in public organizations or creative associations. The artists reinterpret the harmony of the visible world, embodying their ideas in watercolors of different shapes and types.


The exhibition will run until May 15, 2019.
The closing date may be changed.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
Admission is by library card or by ticket of the library's social and cultural center. Information and tickets may be obtained at the registration desk.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.

By this date, the National Library of Belarus is replenishing with new materials the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created in 2019.
