At the suggestion of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to France, in June 2009 a photo exhibition “National Library of Belarus” went to France to be displayed in French cities.
The photo-series reveals the most interesting and significant events of the National Library’s day-to-day life.
The exposition includes 25 works by the eminent Belarusian artists and photographers Anatoly Dribas, Loly Makedonsky, Alexander Zhernosyek, Victor Suglob and Valery Kharchenko.
Original art photography reflect peculiarities of the Library’s interiors, their ergonomic features, new technologies, combination of the detached high-tech style with colorful paintings and applied art.
The photo exhibition “National Library of Belarus” will be displayed at the Council of Europe building in the framework of the session of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. This is the first cultural event of this kind dedicated to Belarus arranged in order to attract the attention of European community to the Republic of Belarus.
