The photo exhibition “The Life of Commandante Hugo Chávez” opened in the “Rakurs” gallery on August 13.
The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, together with the National Library of Belarus organized the exposition in the framework of celebrations of the 61st anniversary of Commandante Hugo Chávez’s birth.
Thirty three works are presented at the exhibition – the reflection of the most important moments of the first Venezuelan President-revolutionist’s life, beginning from his childhood. Looking at the photographs, visitors could trace how a person, faithful to the ideals of struggle for justice, gradually turns into the leader of the Bolivarian revolution and an inspiring example for the nations all over the world.
Belarusians have a deep respect for Hugo Chávez. The development of strategic partnership between Venezuela and Belarus, started by Hugo Chávez and Aliaksandr Lukašenka, is still of a high priority in the foreign policy of both countries.
Chargé d’Affaires of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Belarus Maria Antonia Cabeza Avila and the first Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus Alena Dalgapolava greeted the guests.
