On April 21, 2009, in the gallery “Labyrinth” of the National Library of Belarus was opened an interactive art project “Séance-2”.

The National Library of Belarus holds the project for the second time. In 2007, 90 Belarusian and foreign artists participants of “Séance” exhibited their paintings, graphics, photos, and decorative art.

New authors along with participants of the previous project presented their works at “Séance-2”: Andrey Plekhanov, Fyodor Yastreb, Zoya Lutsevich, Oksana Arakcheeva, Alla Nekhaychik, Svetlana Katkova and others.

The interactive event held a lot of surprises for the guests. Visitors helped artists to create collages of fruits. During a free lottery visitors could gain different works of art. 30 works by Belarusian artists and photographers were raffled; among them – work by a honored art worker of the Republic of Belarus Boris Arakcheev, works by Alexander Lubnyevsky, Victor Danilov, and Fyodor Yastreb. One of participants of the project Maxim Malyshev demonstrated a performance “Six Senses”. Participant of the exhibition Yuori Podolin presented to visitors’ attention a master-class on monotypy technique. Visitors could try hand at being models. Art critic Evegeny Shumeyko and a group of graphic artists (students of Academy of Arts) performed portraits of those who wished to posture. Guests of the project became co-authors of new works of art. Artists and spectators interacted and created together.
