The Library hosted the grand opening of the exhibition "Trans Atlantic Art Message" on October 7. The exhibition is dedicated to the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, and his contribution to the brotherly relations between Venezuela and Belarus through the artwork of famous Belarusian artist Alies Rodzin, who has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Belarus and abroad.
The "Venezuela" series creates an image of the country, stands out with its multi-layered synthesis of national images-symbols of the cultures of Venezuela and Belarus. The artist's distinctive style, his signature technique of lines and dots and detailed fragments reveal the plots of the works in the exhibition – universal doom and apocalypse, mythologemes, astrological devices, prototypes of time, universal themes, etc. The great number of details, saturated with allegories, makes you closely examine the works and gives you a secret insight into the essence of what is being conceived, into the complex space of the author's personal world-perception, which must be "read" and deciphered.
Among the participants of the event were Ms Aksana Knizhnikava, Director General of the National Library of Belarus, Mr Franklin Ramirez Araque, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Belarus, Mr Alies Rodzin, artist, painter, member of the Belarusian Artists Union, Mr Adán Chávez, Special Envoy of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Cuba and President of the Research Institute for the Study of the Ideological Heritage Hugo Chavez.
The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Belarus expressed its gratitude to the administration of the National Library of Belarus for their cooperation in implementing the exhibition "Trans Atlantic Art Message".
Mr Adán Chávez, Special Envoy of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Cuba, has donated to the National Library of Belarus books published in Spanish by the Research Institute for the Ideological Heritage of Hugo Chávez.
The talented Venezuelan musicians Angel Velasquez and Angelo Carmon kept the good mood of the event.
The "Trans Atlantic Art Message" project invites you to reflect, to remember a moment of encounter with yourself and your subconscious, to reflect on the value of good relationships, past experiences and sincerity. Through the language of images, art breaks down boundaries and builds bridges, creating a shared space.
The exhibition was organized by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus.
