On March 16th at 5 p.m., in the gallery “Panorama” takes place the grand opening of the exhibition of the experimental studio “Cherpaniy Papir”.
Artists of the experimental studio “Cherpaniy Papir”, founded in 2005 in Lvov (Ukraine) on the basis of the Center of Creativity of Galich Children and Youth and headed by Victor Khadzhinov, the experienced artist-pedagogue, create their works using the technique of “cherpaniy papir”. The originality of the old technique is that multicolored liquid paper mass is used for creation of an artistic image. Liquid paper mass is scooped out with a special net and then it is laid out on a basis until it becomes completely dry.
The exposition displays the new ways of use of paper in the modern art as an independent material. The studio offers to visitors’ attention 40 works of art performed with the use of the technique “cherpaniy papir”, along with masterclasses.
The exhibition will be open from March 17th to April 14th in the gallery “Panorama” (the indoor observation platform on the 22nd floor). Entrance to the Observation platform is paid.
