The art exhibition The Fyodor Yastreb’s Poetry Palette, dedicated to the memory and the 65th anniversary of the birth of this artist and poet, was opened on February 6 in the "Atrium" gallery.

The paintings can be read, and the poems can be painted on canvas. This happens when the talent is beyond the expected, and between the words "life" and "creativity" you can put an equal sign.

Fyodor Yastreb is a world-famous artist, gallerist, educator, large-scale art projects curator, participant of international and republican exhibitions, poet, author of a thousand sonnets. He was wholeheartedly devoted to his work and left an unusual painting and poetry heritage, saturated with a wide palette of colors and shades, ambiguous meanings and philosophical thoughts.

The world of his paintings does not immediately reveal to spectators the metamorphosis of the lines, the color accents and the abundance of details hidden behind the bright and attractive composition. You can think, play in associations and this is the only way to read his colorful stories, in which the text and subtext, history and myth, romantic legend and reality, specifics of pragmatic time and allegory of Eternity combine.

The Fedor Yastreb's work Melody of Love from the series Oriental Album is showed for the first time, cause it has not been exhibited till now.

Fedor (Franz) Adamovich Yastreb (1953-2014) was born in the village of Stanislavtsi, Dokshytsy district, the Vitebsk Region. He graduated from the graphic arts faculty of Vitebsk State University after the name of Pyotr Masherov. He was a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, chairman of the International Guild of Painters, docent of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, the first head of the Gallery and Exhibition department of the National Library of Belarus (he was also curator of the international digital art festival Terra Nova, the biennial of contemporary painting Colorfest, the graphics exhibition Art-line, the international festival Universum, the annual exhibitions Art-Krok, Kvetkavy Raj, etc.

The Fyodor Yastreb’s spectacular paintings are kept in the Museum of Contemporary Fine Arts, the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, Svetlogorsk Art Gallery Tradition" named after G. Pryanishnikov, the Sochi Art Museum and the Art Museum of Bryansk (Russia), the  Klaj Gruve Gallery (Belgium), the gallery of James Tissot (France), and private collections in Belarus, Russia, Poland, Canada, USA, France, Spain and other countries.

We invite you to enjoy the unique talent of Fyodor Yastreb, awakening new emotions and telling an amazing story of bright talent. You can see the works till April 2, 2018 in the gallery "Atrium" (3rd floor).
The end date of the exhibition can be changed.
