On 15 April, an opening of the exhibition "Art-Krok" was held in the gallery "Labyrinth".
The exhibition "Art-Krok" organized in the National Library of Belarus has become a good tradition: it is the ninth time when the exhibition has been organized here. During the event, First Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus Elena Dolgopolova told the guests on the history of the project and its development. She congratulated the participants on the opening of the exhibition and noted that the exposition for her as a spectator provoked a lot of positive emotions.
The exhibition is placed in the galleries "Rakurs" and "Labyrinth" on the second and third floors of the Library. Besides the traditional participation of members of the public association "International Guild of Painters", members of the Belarusian Artists’ Union, as well as special guests and photographers are participating in this year’s exhibition. This approach enables the most direct acquaintance with a vivid creative process and allows us to trace the development of the recent artistic trends that is interesting for both amateurs and connoisseurs of art, and a wide range of viewers.
"For many years I have been watching this project and always see some new step to the heights of art. When I look at the works of famous artists, it seems to me that I rediscover their work," said the art critic Larisa Finkelstein at the event.
The exhibition displays the works of about 30 Belarusian authors. Among them are not only those who just begin their careers, but those artists whose names are well known for the Belarusian audience. It is Dmitry Surinovich, Alexander Zabavchik, Vladimir Kozhukh, Nikolai Bushchik, Vladimir Rynkevich, Andrei Plesanov, Vadim Kachan, Victor Suglob and others.
