The Order of Using the Halls for Group Lessons

CHAPTER 1
GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The Team-work room instructions (the Instructions hereinafter) are developed in conformity with the National Library of Belarus Code of Service, the Rules about Internet access in the reading rooms of the National Library of Belarus, the Rules about use of electronic documents from the stocks of the National Library of Belarus and specify the service procedure at the Team-work roomof the Special collections division (the Room hereinafter).
2. The Room is designed for educational and cultural events and trainings held by users of the National Library of Belarus (the Library hereinafter.
3. During trainings users can use both information resources of the Library and their own information resources on portable data media.
4. Rent of the Room is the Library’s additional paid service according to the Service Price List (the Price List hereinafter).

5. The minimum indivisible charge unit – 30 minutes.
6. Payment is made for all period of work of a team, according to previously booked time, irrespective of time of arrival and leaving of separate participants.
7. Payment is carried out at payment booths before or after an event, but not later than 15 minutes before the closing time of the Library.

 

CHAPTER 2
THE ROOM ORGANIZATION

8. The work time of the Room corresponds with that of the Library.
9. The number of places is restricted.
10. A training theme must be approved by administration of the Special collections division.
11. To rent the Room a customer must register at the delivery desk. The registration is carried out by an assistant librarian.
12. When registering a customer must notify the day and book the time of a planned training, the number of participants and the telephone number of a responsible person.
13. The deadline for registration is one month before a planned training.

CHAPTER 3
USER RIGHTS

14. Users of the Library have a right to:

  • rent the room for educational and cultural events and trainings;
  • use both information resources of the Library and their own information resources on portable data media during trainings;
  • use equipment of the Room;
  • get information how to search for information and documents in the Library stocks;
  • address the Library administration with observations and complaints about user service in the Room.

CHAPTER 4
USER DUTIES

15. Each training participant must:

  • have a reader card;
  • pass a reader card to an assistant librarian and note down the time of work in the Room;
  • pay for the service according to the Price List;
  • observe time limits of a service and the Library operating hours; use carefully the Library equipment and software;
  • observe the National Library of Belarus Code of Service, the Rules about Internet access in the reading rooms of the National Library of Belarus, the Rules about information copying, the Rules about electronic documents service and the current Instructions.

16. In the event of training cancellation a responsible person or any training participant must notify an assistant librarian at the delivery desk.
17. Forbidden:
17.1 bringing any personal equipment in the Room (for example, lighting and electrodevices, office boards for a marker etc.);
17.2 performing any system operations in the computer network or reinstall software when working with electronic resources of the Library;
17.3 plugging in peripherals which have not been tested with antivirus scanners or contain viruses;
17.4 accessing any Internet resources which conflict with the ideology and legislation of the Republic of Belarus or promote extremism, traffic in arms, explosives, radioactive and toxic substances, drugs and psychotropic agents, illegal migration and human trafficking, pornography, violence or any other actions prohibited by law;
17.5 distributing any offensive information;
17.6 doing business;
17.7 eating or drinking in the Room;
17.8 disturbing other users of the Library;
17.9 damaging equipment or furniture in the Room.

CHAPTER 5
USER RESPONSIBILITY

19. For non-observance of the current Instructions a user can be banned from the Room.
20. Users who have damaged the library’s property (computers, office and electrical equipment, furniture or any other property) must repair a damage in compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

CHAPTER 6
RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE LIBRARY

21. The Library has a right to:

  • make supplements and changes to the current Instructions;
  • ban users who have broken the current Instructions or caused damage to the Library;
  • cancel a training in the event that the Room is taken for planed or unplanned events held by the Library.

22. An assistant librarian must:
  • prepare equipment which will be used during a training;
  • test user portable data media with virus scanner;
  • inform users how to use electronic resources of the Library and equipment in the Room;
  • inform users of the Library on:
  • changes in the current Instructions;
  • changes in the operating hours of the Library.
